Pop-punk mavericks BROADSIDE and Rock Sound Magazine have partnered to share with you “A Light In The Dark”, acoustically, for the first time ever. Performed by guitarist Dorian Cooke and vocalist Ollie Baxxter, the duo’s version reveals the songs raw and genuine tone, as intentionally created. The electrifying, full-band version can be found on their new album Old Bones, available now.
Baxxter tells Rock Sound, “’A Light In The Dark’ is about the internal struggle that I find myself in when I’m at my lowest. It’s hard to confess, but these are the questions I have asked myself in the past when considering taking my own life. It’s the only bit of clarity when I feel so overcome with self-hatred, and therefore…my light in the dark.”
“BROADSIDE already seem dead-set on becoming another voice for a troubled generation” - ROCK SOUND
US fans can catch BROADSIDE on tour this summer as part of “The Album Release Tour 2015,” presented by Amerrickan. Stay tuned for more upcoming tour news.
